Sheikh Ahmad Ad-Daa’oor was elected to the Jordanian Majlis Al-Ummah and when it was his turn to give the oath Sheikh Ahmad Ad-Daa’oor changed its worded form. So instead of saying:

‘I swear by Allah Al-Azheem to safeguard the constitution and to take care of the affairs of the people and to be sincere to the King and nation’.

He said:

‘I swear by Allah Al-Azheem that I will be a trusty guardian to Islam, that I will apply the Shar’a of Allah and that I am bound to the constitution that is derived from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger and that I will take care of the interests of the Ummah and protect its unity and Aqeedah (belief). And Allah is over what I say Shaheed (Witness)’.

This caused an uproar in the Majlis (council) and the representative (Ahmad Ad-Daa’oor) was referred to the judiciary and he was presented to the King Hussein who’s attention had been brought to what he had done. So Ahmad Ad-Daa’oor responded saying:

‘Tomorrow you will meet Allah and He will ask you about your guardianship of the peoples affairs and if you do not rule by what Allah has revealed then you are a Faasiq or Zhaalim or Kaafir’.

So King Hussein ordered for him to be imprisoned.

So where are there those who will bring back the path of the Sheikh (Rahimuhullah)?

The one who will speak the word of Haqq and not fear in the way of Allah the reproach of the of those who reproach?

Note on King Hussain: The father of current King Abdullah. He ruled Jordan for more than 40 years. What did he do for the Ummah? Nothing. In comparison to him we had Khaleefah Umar Bin Abdul Aziz Rahamullah who ruled for only 2 and 1/2 years and reversed the whole nepotism and corruption of the previous Ummayad’s Caliphs.
