Saudi Arabia is not an Islamic State

Saudi Arabia is not an Islamic State

I know, an odd topic for a Jummah Khutbah, but there was a reason for delivering such a challenging topic. People who heard the Khutbah on the obligation of Khilafah had questions as to what are we to make of the different Muslim countries in the world. I used Saudi Arabia as an example at that time. There was a lot of discussion in those days on Irish forums where a particular Saudi Salafi of Irish descent was trying to defend Saudi policies in the name of Islam. Interestingly most of my Arab audience had no problems with this Khutbah rather it was the Pakistanis who got upset at me...

The Economic System

The following speech is in Urdu. This was uploaded a couple of years after my Jummah Khutbah on economic system of Islam. There is a wealth of information here and I would welcome anyone who can put English subtitles so more people can benefit from it. The speaker is Imran Yousafzai who I had the honor of meeting in Pakistan years ago. After his speech he was kidnapped by a Pakistani Intelligence Agency and tortured until he had a gaping bleeding wound to his head. May Allah protect him.  A very important point that I am going to bring up here is the obvious reasons why so called...

Jummah Khutbah on Nationalism

First Khutbah: Remember all quoted Ahadith are translations and not the real words of the Prophet saw! After reciting khutbah hajjah. O people! Your God is one and your forefather (Adam) is one. An Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a red (i.e. white tinged with red) person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a red person, except in piety. (Musnad Ahmad, Hadith #22978) In Sunan Abu Dawud it is narrated by Abu Hurayra, that the messenger of God (pbuh) never accepted nationalism, and it is explained how evil act...

Who are we trying to please?

Who are we trying to please?

First Speech As children we read a story from Aesop Fables. A man with his son are going to the town with their donkey. They pass by a group of people who start laughing at them. They say to the old man and his son. “Why are you not making use of the donkey. One of you should ride it”. So the man tells his son to get on the donkey. After a little while they come across a person who looks at them and says to the son. “This is very bad. The son is riding the donkey while the father is walking. You should let your father ride instead”. So the son gets off the donkey and...

The Kuffar succeeded in divorcing our system, the Khilafah, from our lives. Turkey’s independence...
